We provide the user with the option of controlling particle size down to 1 nanometre (10 Angstroms, 0.001 microns). This allows the user to choose or emphasize quality over quantity or the opposite. Quality (small particles) is important to inactivate small vicious viruses and to pass through the blood-brain barrier. All of our models now have nanometer-size control. For the utmost in quality, turn this knob down to the lowest level for the smallest Nanoparticles of 1-2 nm.
We have designed the generator to produce the smallest nanoparticles rather than ions. There is always a ratio of nanoparticles to ions and by turning the power down to a low level you will produce predominantly nanoparticles. For Silver this level is 2 milliamperes per square inch of electrode surface area and is electronically maintained by our generator regardless of changes in water conductivity or of applied voltage. Nanoparticles must be of optimal size and function as a unique state of matter. They are not ions, which is a charged single atom. A small particle size less than 10 nm is important for the body to successfully use and excrete colloidal silver. There is a risk of developing argyria if the particle size is too large (over 100 nanometres) for the body to readily process the silver, the lymph system must handle these larger molecules. Silver particles are not ions and are collections (nano-clusters) of atoms. They carry electrical charge called Zeta Potential, act as catalysts in the body, and do not enter into chemical interactions. By being smaller than most molecules, they are excreted easily by the kidneys. No one in the last 15 years has developed Argyria taking good quality Colloidal Silver water such as made by our colloidal generator. There is going to be a range of silver particles in size from mono-atomic to larger oxide particles of around 20 nm in addition to some ions.
Oxides form in different ways, depending on the quality of the water you use and how much dissolved oxygen and ozone it has. I have found distilled water to give problems and now recommend RO water. The yellow colour will not diminish the effectiveness of the colloid and is quite safe to drink.
It is good to turn the control knob down to the lowest level and do not heat the water or add electrolyte solutions which would reduce Zeta Potential.
